Another legendary villain of Australian children's literature was the Big Bad Banksia Man that scared the Gumnut babies of May Gibbs. Again, boynton was spared these botanical baddies, but heard stories. Trying to track down some pictures she found these Original drawings and text from her Gum Nut Babies booklet (circa 1915) . No baddies, but many lovely pages.
