imaginings

'horsey' is an attachable bicycle ornament/accessory which makes one's bicycle look horsey!
via the Presurfer

I have previously mused on one's childhood imaginings that would make one's bicycle look horsey, linking it to one's fondness for the TV show, National Velvet.
Which suggests that nothing much changes in blogging, but youtube keeps on giving.
Because now there's more data from one's childhood viewing habits, with part of this particular episode appearing:

One found this episode frightening. As did one's friends.

unamused

A rather useful tag from the WV gods.
(Nonha should be added to the Reactions list of Like, Dislike, Unlike, funny interesting cool.)

spring

one of the things we find endearing
about him is his spring
for a tiny dog, his four foot leap
at the door handle
bringing him almost level with the means
and the meaning, every day
he just about nails it

The photo of the full house reminds me of labradors past and labradors future, someday somewhere.

(and this yt clip is always an inspiration to that lab castle in the air)

low tea

Outraged of (West) North Balwyn sez:
Is there a greater disappointment when taking (Devonshire) Tea at Warrandyte to find that Tea means a small jug of boiling water served with a tea bag? I'm not inclined to spend $70 on High Tea somewhere, but a tea bag and hot water is very low tea. A Devonshire tea promises china and loose leaf to me - or a teapot at the very least.

strange combo

While browsing the Digital Music Collections of the NLA on behalf of a comment by Genevieve, I found this strange song combo. (Or an episode of Midsomer Murders, who knows)

easy listening

bought this record cover for 20 cents when op-shopping last week:

then seeing it described as an outstanding record you must have, I have just played it.

except that phrase

Well actually we were talking about blogging, you know, the blogging r.i.p. riff... [rant defending blogging since deleted] ...but today it may as well signify change of template

the k

New dog turns one today.

Relieved that he got to this milestone; his small size makes him seem vulnerable to the everyday fence-gaps and donkey-hooves of life.
(on holiday in the country, he was straight under the fence and in with the donkeys, who had 'form' apparently with straying small animals, and whose mad braying sent him scurrying back pronto, untrodden)

He is a dog that stares. I often catch him looking like this:

Not so much a philosophical air, but rather one of caution. As if he is still getting his bearings, four months on.

We all are.

but four months on, I think we are cautiously very happy with each other.

bat life

... and Ann O'D → Adam West → Batman and Robin

Same bat nostalgia.

Here, Batman is driving around central Victoria:

(the glimpses of Californian landscape that you'd catch on TV shows of the time did look familiar; sun, highway, eucalyptus)

retro

trawlin' through the archives for a link (see comment on previous post) took me back to the days o' blog ... when g's weren't dropped by default, and I suffered delusions of audience.

so much has changed

Putting boyntonesque through the Geocities-izer
Make any webpage look like it was made by a 13-year old in 1996
seemed if anything to enhance this old skool template.

The more illustrious blogs were better. It is a fine experience to view the Purple blog* with a Yellow Brick Road midi playing.
