That professor. He's so pure. Unlike the balloon merchant, who has a mind of purest filth.

Obviously one of those books that was written for parents to read to their children - informative content for the kiddies, a few graphic jokes here and there to keep the adults interested. And there I was thinking Pixar had invented that approach ...

Whose joke is it? The Merchant of Balloons or the Decorator of the Ball?
Are Balloons Simply a form of Exhalation?

I refer to page 33 of my copy of same. (I suspect an ungraciously received birthday present when all I wanted was a replacement for the engine in my meccano set wot never ever worked. Not never!)

As good an opening gambit about "How and why some plants climb" as was ever written. (Had not the whole article appeared on the one page, it could have been the first recorded "page turner".

"Confound this weed! Why does convolvulus twist itself round other plants like this?"

Pop!

Gee I should be...

GG: I was very taken with that very gambit. And the Prof's:

HULLO JOHN! YOU SEEM TO BE HAVING TROUBLE WITH CLIMBING PLANTS THIS AFTERNOON.

-WHY SHOULD PLANTS CLIMB?)

(and why should professors lurk?)
