A recent comment here by Ann o'Dyne on Twitter:
I am irritated by constant Follow requests from people I dont know*
made me think of the Blossom Dearie song I'm Shadowing you...

And maybe the Beatles wrote a song for the Bloggers,
the early Thinking of Linking which you can hear in this Jam session from the Anthology era.

And not a song but an instructional film: Facebook Manners

Blossom Dearie died this year.
I had supper with her, before she performed at Reno Sweeneys in NYC. We went to a cafe in Waverly Place Greenwich Village, and I swear to god there were beatniks there ... in 1976.

saw some in Mad Men recently, and have just read (on Wiki) that they were an invention of Mad Ave, but MM missed that opportunity to go po-mo in its retro gazing. (Or maybe I missed something, and it did)

memorable movie beats in Funny Face when the magazine people follow Audrey to a club.

Maynard G Krebs of course, and MAD Magazine was my beatnik intro.

I dont like Mad Men. I worked in offices before the revolution and experienced that so it isnt retro-funny for me. pleasant.
