i have been wondering (pondering) whether you could get one of those whereby when the light is turned off the wearer's mouth is also turned off .....if so i want to get one for the wife for xmas

Seems that 'ponder' is one of those people who can't distinguish sexist comments from humour. Or perhaps I just didn't realise that the clause in parentheses (in 'ponder's' first comment) was a self-description rather than a comment?
