OK, I can see clearly now. Ignore my email.

"No need to look bookish when you can look beautiful"

Oh yeah, wait till she puts the 'cat' back in "alogue". Can't wait to get to the bottom of that page.

Actually the bamboo peepers are sorta kute.

There.
See what I've been telling you for years:
"No need to look bookish when you can look KooKish"

If yer gonna wear peepers like that, then you should be hoofing like this.

And make sure you click on the video response "Walk It Out, Fosse."

Found via The World Of Kane, a great online op shop.

After dinner, I'm going to check the Fosse number out - but if there is ever an aerobics class like that first vid, I'm so there already.
Just think, one day our legs will probably tremble like that automatically.
There are about twenty pairs of opshop sunnies in my daughter's room - she would kill for those bamboo ones I reckon.

I always go for kookish,
am very taken by the bambooish,
have broken many op shop sunnies in my time but have never owned such a stylish pair.

What a fabulous link, Nabakov.
(And I've added the on-line op-shop to the link list)

Upbeat and occasionally self-consciously kooky.

a niche entertainment catering to an overlooked audience

Good grief. Kooky is only a quir away from quirky.

Good thing she's wearing glasses, otherwise she'd kill us all with laser beams from her eyes.

boynton said...

but kooky is more camp.
(In film that is. Self-consciousness might protect it from kwirky)

I'll see your laser, and raise you...

I'm in.

boynton said...

I think I'm out...

That oldies.com belongs in the public librarian's arsenal, for sure.
My daughter saw her best pair of opshop specs, purchased for $2, going for $100 in a Chapel St. 'vintage' joint. Caveat emptor.

or let the buyer wear anyway.

(I love those vintage moments of op-shop appreciation)
